Thanks for taking the time to visit my site. I’m Cary, aka the Redfish Whisperer. My goal is to lure fat bull reds into my kayak for exciting photo opportunities and the occasional meal. 😉

I’m primarily a freshwater fisherman. That’s where I got my start. I’m not making the change to saltwater and despite my moniker I have three targeted species: redfish, spotted sea trout, and flounder. However, I don’t discriminate. Should a blue, sheepshead, black drum, etc decide to attach itself to the end of my line I’ll be happy.

All of my experience is with spinning rods but in moving to saltwater I’m also moving (slowly but surely) to fly fishing. I’ve got traditional rods from Scott and Redington as well as a wonderful Tenkara rod for small fish (locally that means bluegill).
